HANDBAG BENCH

This piece of furniture was designed as a “handbag bench” for the restaurant Steirereck im Stadtpark. It functions as a small pedestal to place a handbag in and is positioned next to the chair. Through the combination of the modular elements, that are equipped with a plug-in system, it even became a partition wall in this house. The distance in between the individual modules can be varied, allowing control over the partition wall’s opacity. The many possible constellations – individual or combined – encourage playful interaction with the furniture in any context. Each of the bench’s four sides is slightly distinct. This constantly inspires different, entertaining ways of letting it appear – in your apartment, the office, the terrace or the lobby.
